Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG Vinci

Discover the wine

From the Tuscan tradition of enhancing  owned vineyards and the exaltation of one of the highest territorial denominations, here it comes the Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vinci, the purity of Sangiovese

Grape variety

Sangiovese 100%

Vine training system

Gaiole in Chianti-Vinci vineyard

Typical Chianti soil with a high skeleton of calcareous origin that allows it to take on the vigor of Sangiovese. The soil that distinguishes this wine is characterized since its formation originating from the Chianti massif by a high compact limestone stoniness that rests on a sandstone base. This type of soil slows down the vigor of the plant and lengthens the vegetative cycle and enhances the structure of the Chianti

From mid-September to mid-Octobe

Vinification and ageing

The Sangiovese grapes, scrupulously harvested by hand with selection of the bunches, were destemmed and vinified in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 24°C-27°C with maceration on the skins for 15-20 days. 30 months of maturation in large wooden barrels

Tasting notes

Ruby red color, full nose with hints of spicy red fruit. In the mouth it is warm and full, with a nice structure and soft tannins, good persistence
